I combine that experience to coach and grow the diving program in Naples Florida. I aim to create and environment that fosters the development of fitness to preform and compete in AAU and USA Diving competitions.
Our Mission
Instill athletes with both physical and mental skills to be successful in diving, sports, and life. We believe in structure and integrity as well as supporting your fellow athletes. While diving is individual the team component of supporting others helps everyone grow.
Athletes will be grouped based upon their skill sets and capabilities. Our Lessons group is intend for those who are still learning all of the foundations of diving. Foundational skills include, bouncing and jumps in all positions (Straight, Tuck and Pike), Line ups in all positions from 3m, Dives and Flips in every direction (Front, Back, Inward and Reverse) as well as starting to learn twisters . Once an athlete has shown proficiency in the above skills and dives they will be invited to the Competition group.
Our “lessons” group is structured to create well rounded athletes that have foundational fitness, physical awareness, and body control to be successful in most sports. Those in this group are newer to diving and interested in learning the foundations of becoming a diver. During these practices athletes will be expected to progress through jumps, dives, and begin working on flips.
Our “Competition” group is designed to train divers who have learned the fundamentals (at minimum dives and flips in all directions) and are interested in committing to a more rigorous practice and competition schedule. This is where they will learn to polish those basic dives and start adding flips and twists in various directions. Beyond the physical skills of diving they will learn mental skills and the attitude it takes to compete and be a model athlete. Those in the competition group are expected to compete at all meets that Gulf Coast Dive Club attends.
All meets will be posted club wide and all athletes have the opportunity to compete. The meets and competitions we attend will have multiple levels including beginner, intermediate, and JO levels. These meets include skills and the experience helps athletes understand what they are working towards to be invited to the advanced class.

Practices begin with ground warmups to create a physical foundation, move into board work and bouncing drills for; leg strength, balance and height, and finally ending with skills and dives meant to progress them into fully capable divers (and athletes). Athletes will break off into their workout program depending on experience and skill level.
